The Needlework Guild of America Inc. is a national non–profit organization, founded in Philadelphia in 1885. The chapter in Concord provides items to twelve agencies in Delaware and Chester counties.
The one item they need our help with is NEW underwear, yes NEW UNDERWEAR for men, women and children. So if you find yourself shopping please pick up a pack or two of underwear. If you prefer to make a financial donation you may make your check out to Reformation and put “underwear donation” on the memo line. There will be a box in the narthex starting Sunday, August 17th until September 14th.
The Needlework Guild of America’s prayer:
“Father of all Mercies: We are clothed, we are fed,
we are sound in mind and body. In gratitude for
these great blessings we offer material things to
those less fortunate. Add Thy blessings, we
beseech Thee, to the work of our hands and hearts,
so that each garment may carry to the wearer not
only decency and warmth, but courage, comfort,
and hope for brighter days. Amen
