Diana Butler Bass is an author, speaker, and independent scholar specializing in American religion and culture.

Diana Butler Bass is one of the leading church historians with a keen eye for where the church is now and where God is calling it to be. The 500th Anniversary of the Reformation is the perfect opportunity for her to speak about the role of the church in a changing religious and cultural climate.

Dr. Butler Bass holds a Ph.D. in religious studies from Duke University and is the author of nine books, including Grounded: Finding God in the World – A Spiritual Revolution, and the widely influential Christianity After Religion: The End of Church and the Birth of a New Spiritual Awakening. She regularly speaks at conferences, consults with religious organizations, leads educational events for religious leaders, and teaches and preaches in a variety of venues.
