Media Chamber Chorale, under the direction of John B. Stroud, will present its spring concert, “There and Back Again: From Mozart to Sondheim” in late May. The concert, featuring Mozart’s Vesperae Solennes de Confessore, for chorus, orchestra and soloists, will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 30 at Reformation Lutheran Church, and also at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 31 at Swarthmore Presbyterian Church.
In addition to the Mozart Vespers, the choir will perform a variety of music including Baba Yetu from the video game Civilization IV, selections by Irving Berlin, and a medley from Stephen Sondheim’s Broadway classic, Into the Woods. Refreshments will be served after each performance.
