Recognizing the way in which all people are made in God’s image, we work towards ensuring that people of all gender identities, gender expressions, and sexual orientations are welcomed, valued, and celebrated in the life of the church. We are especially aware of the ways that female identifying and LGBTQIA+ individuals have not been fully honored and the systems that have worked to oppress them. We continue to work for the justice that will bring full inclusion of all people into our shared mission and ministry.
Reformation is a Reconciling in Christ congregation. We join nearly 1000 other ELCA faith communities in proclaiming that we invite and welcome people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions.
