Care kits for homeless neighbors are being provided by Lutherans across Southeastern PA to be distributed to people living in homelessness in Philadelphia on Helping Hands Day (April 16.) Empty gallon-size storage bags containing a list of basic items needed are available in the Narthex (lobby.) Please return the bag to the church by Sunday, April 10th filled with the following items: toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, razor, chapstick, socks, lotion, hand sanitizer, wipes, gloves, granola bars or crackers, and sanitary napkins. Some sturdy backpacks will also be needed to help with distribution. A note with your favorite bible verse and/or prayer for the recipient would be appreciated as well.
