Get Even More Grounded
Our Lenten theme is based on the book Grounded, by Diana Butler Bass. It’s human nature to desire to be grounded — in faith, family, home, community and on this earth — and Bass explores what this means for our relationship with God today.
Here are several books in our library that relate to her themes:
Creation-Crisis Preaching by Leah D. Schade, an exploration of ecology’s relationship with theology
An Altar in the World: A Geography of Faith by Barbara Ann Taylor touches on many of Bass’ themes of the earth and community
Speaking of Faith, by Krista Tippett explores many ways people encounter God in the world today, expanding horizons of faith
This is just a sampling of what you can find with just a quick walk down the hall after service.
