It’s hard to imagine, but May 6 is the last Sunday that three of our Choral Scholars will be with us. Zoe Jones and Sara Munson are both graduating from West Chester University on May 13.
Zoe, soprano, has been very busy this semester with the WCU opera and preparing for her senior recital. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. After graduation, Zoe plans to take a year off from her musical studies and find employment and will apply for graduate school in 2019.
Sara, alto, will graduate with a Bachelor of Music in Elective Studies with a focus in Voice and a Communications Studies Minor. She has received an offer of an unpaid internship at Winding Way Records but is looking for full-time employment.
Jonathan Lawrence, tenor, has had a complete change of focus. He has decided to transfer his musical skills to computers and pursue a Computer Science degree at West Chester. Graduation is a little bit in the future for Jon.
Please join me in wishing our Choral Scholars success in their future endeavors and God’s blessings on their lives! I have certainly enjoyed having them in the Chancel Choir and will miss their talent and enthusiasm. I am happy to say Ian Brady will return. There will be three open positions for Choral Scholars for the next academic year. Get in touch with me if you know of anyone who would be interested.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Valerie Rozek
