Simple changes to save energy in the summer months:
- Try to do all your energy-heavy chores during off-peak hours. If you do laundry, dishes, vacuuming, cooking, etc. at night, you will lower your energy bill and help prevent your home from heating up unnecessarily during the day.
- Skip the dryer and hang your clothes out to dry. If you have the space to do so, you might as well take advantage of it.
- Plan a staycation. Maybe you don’t have time to go on a full-blown vacation. Maybe you’d rather stay closer to home. There are plenty of attractions close to home, that don’t involve long drives or extended stays.
