July Library Blog

What Are You Reading This Summer?

Summer reading lists abound, but they tend to be impersonal. The Library Committee would love to hear what’s on your personal list — one or more books you want to read or that you have already read and recommend to our congregation.

It’s easy to share your recommendation. Just send an email with the author and title of the book. Include a note explaining why you’re suggesting it if you like. Feel free to invite family and friends of all ages to offer their ideas, too. We look forward to publishing responses in the August newsletter as space permits.

Don’t Forget to Check Our Library Shelves for some rewarding summer reads.

July 16 Book Club

All are invited to join us to discuss our July selection, The Day the World Came to Town. This book recounts the inspiring story of the kindnesses that residents of Gander, Newfoundland, extended to the thousands of people whose planes were diverted there on 9/11. The examples of goodwill highlight the ways we can support and forge bonds with strangers, enriching all our lives.
