Throughout Lent we will collect hygiene supplies for three groups: men living in recovery at Phoenix Recovery Project, women transitioning from homelessness to independent apartments at The Well, and children in transition served by Cradles to Crayons. Care Kits enable people to have a deeper sense of dignity through basic self-care. Care kit flyers and gallon size bags are available at the front entry of the church. Travel size items work best.
- Care Kits for Phoenix Recovery can include: toothpaste, toothbrush, a pair of male socks, a disposable razor, shaving cream, deodorant, shampoo, wrapped bar of soap, a wash cloth and hand towel, and comb and/or small hair brush
- Care Kits for The Well can include: toothpaste, toothbrush, a hair net or shampoo cap, feminine hygiene products, deodorant, body wash or wrapped bar of soap, shampoo and conditioner, comb and/or hair brush.
- Care Kits for Cradles to Crayons can include: toddler or adult size toothbrush, child friendly toothpaste, dental floss, shampoo and conditioner, child-friendly body wash, deodorant, comb and/or hair brush.
Completed Care Kits can be returned to the Care Kit bin located outside the front entry doors until Easter Sunday, April 4. If you would like to help Community Action Ministry Team sort and deliver the kits, there will be a socially distanced outdoor sorting event at a date in April to be determined. Please contact Deacon Beth if you would like to be part of this effort.
