God’s Work, Our Hands

Community Action Ministry team is inviting you to explore a new avenue for faith engagement.  In September, we will once again celebrate God’s Work, Our Hands.  This year we are encouraging you to join with family and friends and volunteer with the agency, Kids Against Hunger.

Kids Against Hunger is an organization dedicated to eradicating world hunger. It has food packaging satellite centers throughout the USA and Canada, where volunteers pack vitamin fortified soy rice casserole, which is then distributed to 70 countries around the world.  They meet local food insecurity needs with food bags and boxes.  And currently they are filling backpacks with large donations of school supplies.

One of those satellite centers is right here in Broomall, PA. Our God’s Work, Our Hands project this year will be working with this center to pack any or all of these items.  Individuals and families can sign up for a work session using the SignUpGenius link.
