This year for God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday on September 15, we are supporting Lutheran Settlement House! When families experiencing domestic violence come into emergency placement, or families experiencing homelessness come into shelter, the children often have little more than their clothes. This is a stressful time, and we want the children to feel safe and to have a few items that bring them joy. Seeing their children happy also helps the parent relax and focus on their own needs and healing. That’s where these Comfort Kits come in!
Beginning September 15, there will be drawstring bags and shopping lists available for both children and teens. Simply fill a bag and return to church by October 20. Help us fill 60 bags this fall!
