In early 2026, I joined leaders from Ohev Shalom and Swarthmore Presbyterian in meeting with immigrant-serving organizations to learn how our communities can better support immigrants in Delaware County. After conversation with Centro de Apoyo, Havertown Area Community Action Network (H-CAN), and Movement of Immigrant Leaders in PA (MILPA), we have begun forming an Interfaith Action Network (IAN) focused on immigration justice in Southern Delco.
You are invited to join us for three training sessions in October, each on a different topic: Advocacy, Accompaniment, and Food Delivery. Participants will hear from those closest to the immigrant community, learn about action-oriented ways to show up for our neighbors, and will have an opportunity to join an action team to continue this work between our congregations.
