This year’s outreach project for VBS will be assembling art supply kits for campers at Chester Eastside Ministries. The camp is held the month of July, so the kits will be used almost immediately! VBS students will also have the opportunity to learn about the ministry of Chester Eastside and about its summer camp, too, from one of their counselors who will visit Reformation’s VBS.
Camp Chester Eastside provides lunch, snacks, swimming, and other excursions, as well as the art projects that they love so much! It takes $12 to pay for one week of the four-week summer camp, but many of the 40 to 45 children who attend cannot afford to pay this amount. VBS can help by using their offerings to help send Chester students to camp.
Volunteers are needed for Vacation Bible School. One of the many ways interested people can help is through donating art supplies. Here are some of the supplies we need:
-crayons
-magic markers
-glue sticks
-white glue
-scissors
-construction paper
-pencils
-rulers
Look for a box in the Narthex in which to place any donated art supplies!
