“Table Talk” Stimulates Faith

Martin Luther was well-known for taking conversations of faith outside the church and into homes and taverns around tables. Over time the collections of records about these conversations became known as “Table Talks”. There will be two opportunities this summer to gather for “Table Talk” in the great tradition of Luther to share ideas, thoughts, and questions about faith and life.

There will be a morning and evening option for each “conversation.” The first Table Talk will be around the topic, “Why people go to, join, and leave the church.” The evening “section” will meet on Monday, July 24, at 7:00 pm; the morning section will meet on Thursday, July 27, at 10:30 am. Both sections will meet in the “atrium” at 320 Market Café, 211 West State Street, Media.

The second Table Talk will discuss the topic, “The role of religion in public life.” The morning “section” will meet on Thursday, August 3, at 10:30 am. The evening “section” will meet on Monday, August 7, at 7pm. Both sections will also meet in the “atrium” at 320 Market Café.

Come early to enjoy a beverage (perhaps a cup of coffee in the morning, a glass of beer in the evening), a nibble, and great conversation!
