Join others from Reformation Church on a special tour of the Philadelphia Museum of Art on Sat., Nov. 11, 1:30-4:00 pm. Continuity and Reform: Insights from Art on the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation is a tour/discussion which will use the resources of the Philadelphia Museum of Art to explore the context in which the Protestant Reformation took place, as well as the ways in which Martin Luther and his followers were either in continuity with Roman Catholicism or urging reform. The Facilitator is the Rev. John Hougen, PhD, consultant to the Interfaith Center of Greater Philadelphia and, for the last 11 years, a Guide at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Participation is limited to the first 15 people who register with payment of $10 (payable to Reformation).
The Interfaith Center of Greater Philadelphia is providing this program as part of its initiative: The Art of Interfaith Understanding. The Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Division for Community Engagement and Accessibility is providing admission to the museum and free parking in the Museum’s parking garage for all participants.
