I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ. – Philippians 1:6
At Reformation we are blessed to be part of a vital, thriving congregation which is committed to the mission of inviting, serving, and faith-building. We are in this very positive position by the grace of God and thanks to the faithfulness of the leadership and membership past and present.
As a congregation we ventured forward in faith two years ago by launching the Always in Mission Campaign. The very strong and generous response of Reformation members to that campaign has led to even greater growth in our mission, including the addition of Deacon Beth Barkhau to the staff, cost-saving capital improvements, and exciting new and expanding programs and ministries.
God calls us to mission not only in our immediate area but “to the ends of the earth.” Our partnership with the Pangani Parish in Tanzania is a visible example of our response to that call. But we also respond in ways that are not as readily visible, such as our mission support of the Southeastern Pa. Synod and Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
We have a special opportunity to respond to God’s call by supporting our synod’s Forward Together in Faith Campaign. This campaign will generate resources to provide exciting new ways to proclaim God’s message of grace by equipping, innovating, communicating, and networking congregations for ministry in these challenging times. Please take a few minutes to read the enclosed flyer about this campaign. More information will be provided throughout the month of January, including an opportunity for you to support this campaign financially.
I never cease to give thanks for God’s faithfulness and for yours.
