Small groups will be reading and discussing the book Grounded: Finding God in the World – A Spiritual Revolution by Diana Butler Bass. Books will be available in the gathering space outside the sanctuary and are also available for download from Kindle. Please sign up as soon as possible so that our group leaders are able to prepare.
In her book, Butler Bass, considers new ways that people are coming to experience God in this world and what that means for the church. The book also includes a 40-day journal that is a great addition to our Lent journey.
– All groups begin after Ash Wednesday (February 14).
– Group sessions will last about 60 minutes.
– Copies of the book are available at Reformation and as a Kindle download

*This session is intended for those interested in having a Lenten contemplative practice. Contemplative practices are an effective way to help us See and Connect with God in the world around us. The group will combine discussions of the Lenten daily devotional materials in Diane Butler Bass’s book with a “contemplative sampler.” Each week a different contemplative practice will be introduced that participants can practice throughout their week. Topics include mindfulness meditation, loving kindness prayer/metta, body prayers, etc. Space is limited, sign up requested. If you have questions, contact Carolyn Hathaway.
