Sunday Worship Schedule – (Early September through May)
8:30 a.m. – Worship with the celebration of Holy Communion. The Chancel Choir provides worship leadership. Sample bulletin.
11:00 a.m. – Worship with the celebration of Holy Communion. The praise band, Souls, provides worship leadership and the Children’s Choir also participate. Sample bulletin.
A professionally staffed nursery is available for child-care during all Sunday worships. Additionally, a children’s sermon, called the “Sermon on the Steps,” is a part of the worship nearly every Sunday.
From September through May, Sunday School for all ages meets at 9:45 a.m.
Summer Sunday Worship Schedule – (Memorial Day through Labor Day)
8:30 a.m. – Worship with the celebration of Holy Communion. Music is provided by soloists and special ensembles.
10:00 a.m. – Worship with the celebration of Holy Communion. Music is provided by Souls.
Worship at Elwyn
Worship with communion is celebrated at 1 p.m. every Sunday on Elwyn’s campus for the residents and staff of that community.
Elwyn, Inc. is a local organization that provides care and assistance to individuals that live with various disabilities and disadvantages. Chaplaincy is provided to the clients of Elwyn through Reformation’s Chaplain to Elwyn.
Special Worships
Throughout the year there are many opportunities to gather for special worships.
Ash Wednesday – Worship with communion and the imposition of ashes at 12 noon and 7:30 p.m.
Lent Evening Prayer – Wednesdays during Lent at 7:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary following a soup supper at 6:30 p.m.
Holy Week:
Maundy Thursday – Worship at 7:30 p.m.
Good Friday – Worship at 7:30 p.m.
Easter Vigil – Worship at 7:30 p.m.
Easter – Worships at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00 a.m.
Ascension Day – Worship done in conjunction with the other Lutheran congregations in Delaware County.
Christmas Eve – Worships at 2:00, 4:00, 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.
Christmas Day – Worship at 10:00 a.m.
