Feeding The Homeless

Feeding The Homeless

For the past few years, Reformation has joined in supporting the Community Outreach Project (COP) which serves evening meals at the Life Center of Eastern Delaware County. The Life Center is one of three shelters owned and operated by the Community Action Agency of Delaware County (CAADC). The other two facilities are the Family Management Center and the Wesley House, both located in Chester.

With the cooperation of area churches, meals are provided every night of the year. Reformation is assigned five dates per year which are the fourth Thursday of each January, March, May, July and September. We usually provide at least 150 meals each time we go. It is a very much needed service and one that helps us in our mission to “serve our neighbors”. It is a fellowship building opportunity and a fun night out for all.

In January, in addition to those who provided casseroles, Pat and Kathi Burke, Sally Burkam, Betsy and Gary Kamin, Dave Smith, Paul and Joanna Stearns, Tom Cook, Deacon Beth and Bob Barkow, John Berberich, and Iumele and Brett Norton helped prepare and serve the meals. Be sure to ask them how rewarding they found the experience.

Help with Feeding the Homeless – Thursday, March 22. Please sign-up on the sheets on the counter in the lobby to help in one of these ways:
