Curriculum

Children are provided with readiness skills that are needed to enter kindergarten. Skills include using a pencil, crayons, paints, and scissors; learning to listen and follow directions; and learning to communicate to express ideas. Science and Social Studies Units are incorporated into the curriculum.

Children are given opportunities for exploration and discovery in a wide variety of activities such as music, art, cooking, storytelling, problem solving, and dramatic play.  Indoor and outdoor experiences which enhance the development of fine and gross motor skills are incorporated into the curriculum.

Children are encouraged to assume responsibility for their personal belongings in order to help them become independent individuals.

Class Ratio

Class ratio can vary depending on enrollment. No class will have more than 10 children per teacher, per PA code standards. We plan for 8 children per teacher for the younger classes.
