From the Pastors and Deacon

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound  in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:15

Dear Reformation,

The new year always brings about a renewed sense of hope. It feels that this year, perhaps more than ever, that hope for the days ahead is essential to our lives. Last year was hard. And as we step into this new chapter of time, it is our hope that pulls us ahead into these days.

The start of a new year – much like the start of each new day, week, month, season – reminds us of God’s promise to continue making all things new. It reminds us that God continues to bring new life into the midst of places where death tries to have the final word. It reminds us that God’s love for creation never ceases and always springs forth with hope for tomorrow.

To start this new year, we invite you to consider this question: Where do you hope to see God present in this year?

Take time to sit with this question, write down your reflections, and hold onto these hopes as you look at God’s promises coming forth throughout this year.

As we start this year, making our way through these first few days of 2021, may we hold on to the hope of God’s promises.

In hope,
