In February and March 2021 members and friends of Reformation wrote letters to inmates at SCI-Chester prison. Anne Metz, coordinator of Letters for Chester provided the following acknowledgement. In the coming months, we will share these notes of gratitude from the inmates who receive our letters. To learn more as to how you can participate in future prison ministry in our region, please reach out to Linda Bucher.
Hello! I am an inmate at SCI-Chester. I would like to start by saying Thank You. Thank You for your support and words of wisdom you have shared with us during the pandemic of COVID19. 2020 has been hard for us in SCI-Chester. We have lost friends and family members, and for some of us that is all we had to look for when we return home. I know that for some people a letter doesn’t sound like much, but to us it means everything. It shows us that when there is darkness in the world there has to be a light. Once again, Thank You.
I just want to say thank you for your support because a lot of people in our situation don’t really have much support. The fact that we were thought of is major. I appreciate the letter and hearing words like that keeps me motivated and looking forward to my future. I know GOD has plans for me and that’s where I’m keeping my faith. Thank you for your support.
