Founded in 1929, the Brandywine Valley SPCA exists to end animal suffering and to involve the entire community in the welfare and well-being of animals.

Reformation Community Action Facilitator: Larry Filtz
This ministry serves isolated homebound persons, primarily the frail elderly, in the Greater Philadelphia area, with free daily home-cooked meals delivered weekly by volunteer visitors. The goal is to help people enhance their quality of life, maintain their independence, and remain in their own homes for as long as possible.

Caring for Friends™, formerly known as Aid for Friends, welcomes your involvement and offers a variety of ways for you to support our mission. Whether you want to deliver meals, be a companion to an elderly person, cook meals for the homebound, or explore a corporate volunteer opportunity, we can always use assistance.

The Chester County Food Bank was formed in 2009 to address the escalating hunger problem in the county. Our primary goal was, and still is, to have a viable, sustainable organization that secures, manages and distributes food to those in need.
Today, we are the central hunger relief organization serving more than 120 partner agencies in Chester County, PA. Through our network of food cupboards, hot meal sites, shelters and other social service organizations, we distribute over 3 million pounds to our neighbors with limited or uncertain access to adequate food.

A respected force for good in Chester, this agency provides food and clothing ministries, basic tutoring and educational enrichment programs, crisis counseling and community advocacy programs.

CityTeam is a nondenominational Christian nonprofit, compassionately serving our neighbors experiencing homelessness, poverty, hunger and addiction. Programs offer help and hope to those in need with hot meals, shelter, life transformation programs, clothing, hygiene items, learning and career help, discovery Bible studies, and so much more.

Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. The items they supply are free of charge by engaging and connecting communities.

The Delaware County Literacy Council helps adults develop reading, writing, math and English Language skills to thrive in the workplace and the community.
Ways to help – Volunteer tutors work one on one with an adult student, helping him or her to learn basic reading and writing or to speak English as a second language.

Reformation Community Action Facilitator: Dave Smith
The agency mission is to assist residents to move toward economic self-sufficiency and to strengthen the community through innovative approaches to programs including: housing, workforce development, energy conservation, social services and community and economic development.
Ways to help – 5 times per year ( the 4th Thursday of Jan., March, May, July, and Sept.), Reformation prepares and serves a meal at the Life Center in Upper Darby. In addition, donations of food, personal care, household , and baby items are needed.

In order to promote social harmony and inter-religious understanding, the Interfaith Philadelphia equips individuals and communities for interfaith engagement, builds collaborative relationships, and stands in solidarity with our diverse neighbors.
Opportunities for involvement – various programs including Walk the Walk youth initiative, visionary women, art/interfaith tours, and more.
KenCrest supports community development by exploring possibilities, mobilizing resources, and empowering dreams through work in early childhood development and with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Since its founding in 1902, LSH has served vulnerable children, adults and families living in the inner city. Today they serve especially the newly homeless, abused women and children, and low-income seniors.

A non-profit Christian ministry serving the immigrant community in Chester County and the surrounding area. They share the love of Jesus by offering assistance with immigration procedures, citizenship classes, a Christmas for Migrants program, blankets, coats, health kits, donated furniture and appliances, distribution of food baskets, and other services.

Second Time Around Parents is a program for grandparents (and other relative caregivers) raising their grandchildren due to parental drug and alcohol or mental health problems. Services include separate educational and support groups for grandparents and grandchildren, counseling/case management, a stop-in center for grandparents and opportunities for socialization for grandparents and their grandchildren

Reformation participates in services at the Welcome Church several times a year. Services are held on the first and last Sundays of the month, throughout the year. Other opportunities for fellowship are provided during the week.
