Reformation is a ReconcilingWorks Congregation. YOU are TRULY welcome here!
Called by Christ we invite all people, celebrating the diversity of God’s creation. Reformation is an affirming congregation for all: rejoicing with the young and old, welcoming people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, working to cultivate an accessible and inclusive community for all abilities, and embracing all races, cultures, and faith traditions.
We serve our neighbors following the teachings of Christ. Reformation responds to the needs of the most vulnerable – providing nourishment and comfort, supporting the work of the local and global church, and protecting God’s creation for future generations.
We build a living faith emboldened by the Holy Spirit. Reformation embodies the unconditional love of God through worshiping and learning together and valuing the gifts of everyone. To create the fullness of our community of faith, we nurture relationships, pursue racial equity and gender justice, and advocate for the wellbeing of the marginalized.
Several years ago at a leadership retreat, our mission statement was created: Called by Christ, we Invite all People; Serve our Neighbors; Build Living Faith. We try to always keep that in mind in all we do.
We are a church that shares a living, daring confidence in God’s grace. Liberated by our faith, we embrace you as a whole person — questions, complexities and all.
Join us as we do God’s work in Christ’s name for the life of the world. Lutherans are a diverse group of people, convinced that the Holy Spirit is leading us toward unity in the household of God.
Recently a new member was asked; “What was it about Reformation that made you want to join our church?”
And here’s what she said: “I immediately felt that it was a friendly church. Busy, yet cozy. The church itself is lovely. I met people right away, but didn’t feel anyone was overly pushy. I saw people from the community that I know from work and the Y and other programs and interests, I am associated with. I felt there were a lot of young people involved and a good diversity of age, and ethnicity. I felt welcome.”
Come see us! Come worship with us, and see if our Church family feels that way for you.
Some members share why they keep coming back to Reformation…
“Reformation is alive in Christ. It changes with the times and is responsive to both its own members and to the near and far community. It is a branch of my family now. I always feel the presence of the Holy Spirit when I am there.”
– Jennifer B.
“I think Reformation has kept us in the fold because it never changes and it is always changing. The characteristics that have made it a lifetime church for us are: Being welcoming, Adaptable, Family Oriented, and Consistent. But the work we do has changed over the decades to stay current through our Pastoral and Lay leadership.”
